Cross-Country Running Team Shout Out - 10/16/23

Shout out to the Cross Country Team for all of their success as they begin the championship series.  Here are a few of the highlights so far this season.

The Marty Lewis Cross Country Borough Challenge was contested on October 7th.  The results of this competition are used to determine the Power Rankings for Public High School Cross Country Teams in the Five Boroughs.  Even with the pouring rain, The RedHawks Ran Strong and finished the competition a seeded rank of  8th.  


The Freshman and Sophomore Championships were contested at Cunningham Park on October 10th and October 11th.  Last year the RedHawks finished 1st in both of these races and Coach Tex is proud to announce that the team defended their championship title finishing 1st place again!!!

Cross-Country Running Team Shout Out - 2/6/23


Shout out to the Indoor Track and Field Team who competed yesterday in the Queens Borough Championship.  The team did very well fighting will all they had and came home with winners in 7 events!!! 


The winners were:

Jacob Stewart - High Jump and Triple Jump

Jeremy Insuasti - Long Jump

Jia Liu - Triple Jump

Karol Zambrowski, Resean Dunlop, Satish Doobay, Kerwin Munoz - 4 x 800 Relay

Karol Zambrowski - 1000 Meter Run

Amaan Narine - 1600 Meter Run and 3200 Meter Run

Resean Dunlop - 3200 Meter Run


Coach Tex is always looking for athletes who want to train and learn the events of track and field.  There is still time to join the team as we look forward to Outdoor Track and Field.


Cross-Country Running Team Shout Out


This past Saturday the Cross-Country Running Team put their talents to the test against mother nature.  The team battled through the cold and rain showing courage and grit.  When everything was said and done the team still finished with excellent times adding four more medals to the season.

The next competitions will be on Tuesday October 4th versus other Queens teams and then on Saturday at the Manhattan College Invitational where there will run against other teams from up and down the east coast.  Let's go RedHawks!!!!

Cross-Country Running Team Shout Out


Shout out to the Cross-Country Running Team who had their opening day of races yesterday and won a total of 10 medals. Starting the season at the top of the Queens PSAL Power Rankings, the team wasted no time letting the competition know that they mean business and are focused on a championship season.

2/6/22 - Queens Borough Track and Field Championship 


On Sunday, February 6th, The Red Hawks Track and Field Team competed in the Queens Borough Track and Field Championship.  The team battled very hard and Coach Tex is proud to announce that a total of 17 medals were won by the team.  Shout out to the winners and let's celebrate them as they finish the season in the City and State Championship.

11/1/21 - Cross Country Running Team

Shout out to the Boys Cross Country Team who again travelled on the team bus to Van Cortlandt Park to compete in the Freshman/Sophomore City Championship.  This race featured the best running sophomores and freshman in the City.  Four of our very own athletes were celebrated as being amongst the best.  Congratulations to Freshman Jeremy Insuasti and Resean Dunlop for medaling in the Freshman Championship.  

And Congratulations to David Singh and Amadou Lemons for medaling in the Sophomore Championships.  Coach Tex is very proud to announce that the Boys Cross Country Team is finishing the season as a Ranked School and were invited to compete in the Varsity City Championship!!!  Go RedHawks!!!

10/25/21 - Cross Country Running Team


As the 2021 school year came to a start the Redhawks Sports programs were looking to get back into action and start the year off with pride. The Boys Cross Country Racing Team were the first to take on this challenge as they prepared for the Battle of the Queens Borough. Coach Tex is proud to announce that our team broke school records coming home with 14 individual medals and four Borough Championship Trophies. All members of the team had huge success based on hard work and dedication that started in August. With this incredible success the team earned their invitation to the City Championship! It is with great pride to announce the winners.

9/21/21 - Boys Cross Country Running Team


Shout Out to the Boys Cross Country Running Team who competed in their first race of the season yesterday at Cunningham Park.  All together the boys won 7 medals!!! The team was led by Sophomore Sensation Jacob Stewart who came in 3rd place in the Varsity Race.  


Two other medals in that race were won by Michael Gomez and Karol Zambrowski.  In the Freshman Race both Jeremy Insuasti and Joe Schimmenti dominated coming in first and second place!!  Also winning medals in that race were Nathaniel Garcia and Justin Gomes.  


Today the Girls Running Team looks to match the strong start by the boys.  


There is still time to join the winning team.  The team is looking for more freshman and sophomores willing the train and become outstanding athletes.  Meet coach Tex in room 252 before heading to Lunch to get more information.
