What do we think when we think about Architecture?

Definition: 1. the profession of designing buildings, open areas, communities, and other artificial constructions and environments, usually with some regard to aesthetic effect. Architecture often includes design or selection of furnishings and decorations, supervision of construction work, and the examination, restoration, or remodeling of existing buildings.

Essential Questions:

When we talk about Architecture what do we talk about?

What is the essence of a building?

What is it made of? – materials, patterns, textures, shapes, space

Who uses it, is it inside- outside or both?

Why does a person becomes an architect?

What makes an architect or a building unique?
