The High School for Construction Trades, Engineering and Architecture

Dear Parents & Guardians:

My name is Ms. Kimberly Seaton, Parent Coordinator at High School for Construction Trades, Engineering & Architecture. Due to these unprecedented times Freshman Orientation will not take place in a physical sense. But CTEA would like to welcome you and your child to our family and provide you with necessary information. In addition to the in-person orientation we are not able to host our annual Summer Bridge Program in which your child would have had the opportunity to meet our staff and other incoming freshman. But we will do our best to make the transition as smooth as possible.

Any student who is NOT going to accept their seat at CTEA must notify the school so we can contact their new school, and discharge your child from CTEA.

Please email Ms. Dawn Coraggio at: and indicate your child’s FIRST and LAST Name and the name of the school he/she will be attend in September.

I’m sure everyone has questions and concerns and we will be here to assist in any way we can but for starters I have included information on our uniform policy and uniform purchasing information.

Uniform Policy

  • Polo shirts with school logo and gym uniforms must be purchased on line from Speedy Embroidery
  • Sweatshirts and hoodies are an optional purchase but please know that outer garments are not permitted over the school shirt unless it is a school garment with our logo. It is therefore recommended that you purchase a sweatshirt.
  • School pants can be purchased anywhere. Speedy Embroidery does not carry pants
  • Pants must be in the following colors: Black, Navy, Khaki
  • Jeans, sweatpants, spandex and camouflage are NOT permitted

Purchasing Information

You can begin to place your uniform orders effective May 15th by visiting Speedy Embroidery at and click the link on the top, left side of the page.

In addition to uniforms you are required to purchase two locks. Locks should be available on the Speedy Embroidery website by May 15th as well.

School Schedule:

Classes begin every day at 8:20AM (period 1)

Dismissal time is 2:41PM (period 8)

  • See the Power Point below for Incoming Freshman Orientation

We will do our best to keep you updated on important details as we approach the new school year. We look forward to seeing you and returning to normalcy.

Stay safe and see you in the fall!
